Inquiry :

Symbol/Gene Name:  xylB

Alias:  D-xylose 1-dehydrogenase,XDH

Uniprot: B8H1Z0

Background: D-xylose dehydrogenase involved in the degradation of D-xylose, a major component of hemicelluloses such as xylan. Catalyzes the initial reaction in the xylose utilization pathway by oxydizing D-xylose into D-xylonolactone. Shows some activity toward L-arabinose, but little to none toward D-arabinose, L-xylose, D-ribose, D-galactose, D-glucose or D-glucose-6-phosphate.

Construct: 6His-strepII-TEV-GG-xylB(S2-R248 end)

Expression Host: E. coli

Purity: 90%

Formulation: 50 mM Tris-HCl (pH7.5), 200 mM NaCl, 20% glycerol

Supplied as sterile
